Caring for our Families and Young People ….
So many things are changing, evolving each day to a new normal. Our schedules, our daily life, well they look very different right now. But some things do not change. Our Kinship families and Young People still need guidance, assurance that we are here for them, especially in these changing times. Please know that our dedicated staff is continuing to provide that loving guidance and service to these vulnerable people. Our housing staff are still there, caring and encouraging our Young People as they navigate this new normal, assuring them that they are in a safe place, we are here for them. Sure, some extra activities are on hold right now, but we won’t go away. Our Food Pantry continues to serve, to make sure our community will not go hungry. Our Kinship staff remains in constant contact with our families, ensuring that their immediate needs will continue to be met.
Necessary precautions have been taken and implemented to ensure safety to our staff and the people that we serve. Service centers have been temporarily closed to limit the exposure of our Staff, Clients, and Volunteers to COVID-19. But that does not mean services have been suspended! We have dedicated staff, using creative technology techniques to counsel, coach, tutor, and guide our families and young people.
To those of you who have reached out asking how you can support us – THANK YOU! Your support means the world to our staff and clients. These are scary times for all of us, however for the trauma- experienced youth, this is especially scary. Pray that we do not experience disruption of the support we receive through donations from our partners during this public health crisis. Our financial needs will remain. We are continuing to count on you, our loyal supporters, to provide safe housing and services to our families and Young People. We appreciate you!
Timothy says it all, as we place our trust in God through these uncertain and unknown times.
And we will trust God as he guides all of us through these challenging times.
Blessings to all of you as you are a blessing to us and each other,
Jean Radach
